Sermon Notes:-
Theme: Walking in the Authority and Power of God in Every Realm of Life
Scriptural anchors: Genesis 1:26-28; Luke 10:19; Romans 6:14; Colossians 2:15; Ephesians 2:6.
From the beginning, God created humanity in His own image and gave mankind dominion over the earth. (Genesis 1:26-28) From this vantage point believers are called not only to believe for personal blessing but to exercise supernatural authority over sin, the enemy, circumstances, the physical realm, and the spiritual realm. This dominion is not automatic; it requires understanding, alignment with Christ, and activation of the Kingdom Principle.
Dominion is a Divine Mandate
God’s original design: “Let them have dominion” (Genesis 1:26).
Through the fall, mankind’s dominion was compromised.
In Christ, believers are restored: Colossians 2:15 says He “disarmed the powers and authorities.”
Ephesians 2:6 affirms we are “seated with Christ in the heavenly places,” a position enabling dominion.
Dominion is Multi-Dimensional
Dominion isn’t only over physical creation; it includes:Dominion over self (flesh, habits, emotions)
Dominion over sin (Romans 6:14)
Dominion over demonic forces and principalities (Luke 10:19)
Dominion over circumstances, environments, and spheres of influence.
Messages on the “Dominion Mindset” show believers must live continuous, conscious, and comprehensive dominion.
Dominion is supernatural.
It is empowered by the Holy Spirit, not by human strength alone.
It involves seeing and acting in the invisible realm (spirit, angelic, principalities).
For example, “Operating in the Supernatural” teaching highlights that believers have authority over “principality and power and dominion” via Ephesians 1:15-23.
Practical Steps to Walk in Supernatural Dominion
Understand Your Identity: Know who you are in Christ: seated, victorious, authorized.
Renew Your Mind and Submit Your Flesh: Dominion begins with self-mastery. (See Romans 12:2, 1 Corinthians 9:27.)
Connect with the Holy Spirit: Dominion flows through communion with God. Without connection, you cannot exercise authority.
Visualize, Verbalize, and Vitalize Your Dominion: As one teaching puts it, you must see your dominion (visualize), speak it (verbalize), and activate it (vitalize).
Launch into Action: Declare truths, bind what is opposing, and loose what God has for you. Walk in faith.
Maintain and Protect Your Dominion: Dominion can be lost or neglected if you drift. There are teaching outlines on “Retaining Dominion.”
Applications for Life & Ministry
In personal life: exercise dominion over your habits, emotions, fears, and environment. You are not meant to be passive or defeated.
In community & mission: believers are called to influence territories and spheres (just as your earlier message on “Commanding Salvation Over Territories” emphasized). Dominion includes shaping culture and environment, not just surviving in them.
In spiritual warfare: You have authority over demonic forces and darkness. Use your positional authority in Christ.
In church life: equip believers to walk in their authority, not just teaching doctrine but training in activation and practice.
